Early-phase rotator training impairs tissue repair and functional recovery after spinal cord injury

چکیده
Spinal cord injury (SCI) is a devastating disorder that often results in severe sensorimotor function impairment with limited recovery of function. In recent years, rehabilitation training for spinal has gradually emerged, and some them play an important role the repair However, optimal regimen SCI remains to be determined. this study, we explore effects rotarod (began at 7 days post-injury) on motor after SCI, as well its possible mechanism from aspects histopathological changes, behaviors specific trophic factors cytokines, expression profile genes. Multiple functional assessments showed initiated post-injury unsuitable promoting neuro-electrophysiological improvement trunk stability, but impaired coordination recovery. addition, negative which manifested increase lesion area, decrease neuronal viability, deterioration immuno-microenvironment remyelination, significant reduction pro-inflammatory factors. RNA sequencing suggested genes associated angiogenesis synaptogenesis were significantly downregulated PI3K-AKT pathway was inhibited, detrimental impeded nerve regeneration. These indicate immediate currently mice.

Exercise Training Promotes Functional Recovery after Spinal Cord Injury
The exercise training is an effective therapy for spinal cord injury which has been applied to clinic. Traditionally, the exercise training has been considered to improve spinal cord function only through enhancement, compensation, and replacement of the remaining function of nerve and muscle. Recently, accumulating evidences indicated that exercise training can improve the function in differen...
متن کاملInfluence of Sexuality in Functional Recovery after Spinal Cord Injury in rats
Background: Spinal cord injury (SCI) is a major clinical condition and research is commonly done to find suitable treatment options. However, there are some degrees of spontaneous recovery after SCI and gender is said to be a contributing factor in recovery, but this is controversial. This study was done to compare the effects of sexual dimorphism on spontaneous recovery after spinal cord inj...
متن کاملGut dysbiosis impairs recovery after spinal cord injury
The trillions of microbes that exist in the gastrointestinal tract have emerged as pivotal regulators of mammalian development and physiology. Disruption of this gut microbiome, a process known as dysbiosis, causes or exacerbates various diseases, but whether gut dysbiosis affects recovery of neurological function or lesion pathology after traumatic spinal cord injury (SCI) is unknown. Data in ...
متن کاملHepatocyte growth factor promotes endogenous repair and functional recovery after spinal cord injury.
Many therapeutic interventions using neurotrophic factors or pharmacological agents have focused on secondary degeneration after spinal cord injury (SCI) to reduce damaged areas and promote axonal regeneration and functional recovery. Hepatocyte growth factor (HGF), which was identified as a potent mitogen for mature hepatocytes and a mediator of inflammatory responses to tissue injury, has rec...
متن کاملAcute Leptin Treatment Enhances Functional Recovery after Spinal Cord Injury
BACKGROUND Spinal cord injury is a major cause of long-term disability and has no current clinically accepted treatment. Leptin, an adipocyte-derived hormone, is best known as a regulator of food intake and energy expenditure. Interestingly, several studies have demonstrated that leptin has significant effects on proliferation and cell survival in different neuropathologies. Here, we sought to ...
